A particularly dramatic consequence of the pandemic, especially in rural areas – due to job loss, many families are deprived of their only source of income and without financial reserves, adults have to travel far in search of work.
Many children are left to fend for themselves because their parents travel around the country to earn a little money wherever they can. The parents are often away for months and are unable to look after their children. These children are then forced to search for food several times a day. Smiling Gecko supports them with rice, meat, vegetables and medical care. We look after them and help them get through this difficult time. Thank you for supporting us in this!
